SWEA-GFE is an international cross-cultural ministry of front-line mass evangelism. It can best be described by the three words that make up the name applied to the overseas network of indigenous ministry teams – GLOBAL FIELD EVANGELISM™.

GLOBAL – Jesus commanded us to go into ALL the world and preach the Gospel, not some of it. He told us to make disciples of ALL nations, not just some of them. For that reason our ministry is international in scope, utilizing the calling and commitment of men and women from various countries and cultures to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the whole world.

FIELD – Instead of limiting evangelistic efforts to events where people are required to come to us in order to hear the message of salvation, we use what we call “we go to them” field evangelism, which is simply taking the Gospel to where the people are – in their own territory. We go OUT into the fields, which Jesus told us are already white unto harvest.

EVANGELISM - This ministry is called and commissioned by God to perform and promote the singular task of

taking the simple Gospel of Christ to those unsaved people throughout the world who have not had an opportunity to hear it before or who have not had a legitimate opportunity to make a definite decision for Christ one way or the other. Our ministry is uncompromisingly committed to one thing and one thing only – helping lost people escape from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of Heaven. Evangelism is not only what we DO, but it is what we ARE.

SWEA-GFE is a two-sided ministry made up of staff and volunteers in the United States who are joined by a common goal and philosophy to a growing network of indigenous national teams overseas. Working hand to hand and heart to heart across the globe we all share in one compelling purpose, one common philosophy, and one consistent proclamation. We have one mandate – preach the Gospel. We have one method – go to the people. We have one message – Christ crucified.

ONE PURPOSE – ONE MANDATE

It is the purpose, goal and intent of this ministry to reach as many unsaved people as possible with a clear, simple, relevant presentation of the Gospel which calls for a verdict. The objective of each message is to provide each listener with an opportunity to make a rational legitimate decision regarding their eternal destiny. We also assume responsibility for the initiation of the discipleship process in the lives of those who come to faith in Christ through our ministry.

ONE PHILOSOPHY – ONE METHOD

Our philosophy of ministry and our methodology in presenting the Gospel can be summed up in four words – WE GO TO THEM. Acts 17:2 tells us “And according to Paul`s custom, he went to them”.

There are two modes of mass evangelism, “they come to us” or “we go to them”. The one most commonly used by the church worldwide is the “they come to us” approach in which the unsaved public is required to come to an organized Christian event in order to hear the Gospel. While widely favored and often effective to a point, this method eliminates millions of people who, for various reasons, will not or cannot come. In order to counteract this problem and extend the reach of the Gospel to the entire world, we use the “we go to them” approach, which takes the Gospel to the people are - in their own territory. We do this by going OUT to public places where people are already gathered in groups such as a bus station, street corner or open-air market and by going IN to institutions such as high schools, colleges, prisons and military camps. By so doing, we reach those who have never heard the Gospel before and likely never would.

ONE PROCLAMATION – ONE MESSAGE

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 2:2, “For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified”. THAT was his message and THAT is our message. Our message is simple: There is only one way for a person to be saved and go to heaven – he must be born of the Spirit of God by placing his faith in Jesus Christ alone, trusting in what Christ did for him on the cross; that is, paying for the sin of the world with His shed blood. There are what we call “three simple steps” which every person must take in order to become a child of God.

1. ADMIT he is a sinner, separated by his sin from a holy God and a perfect heaven. That sin was inherited from Adam and is executed in his own life by personal choice.

2. BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ as the only possible solution for his sin problem. A person must choose to believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God; Who came from heaven, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross to pay for the sin of the world, was buried, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven and is alive now. The shedding of Christ`s blood on the cross must be received as the only payment for sin.

3. CALL upon Christ to come into his heart as Savior and Lord. A definite choice must be made by each person to turn from sin to God through acceptance of Christ, resulting in a changed life.
